The year 2005 has finished. As usual we are late with our news. This year I haven’t been able to write our usual yearly report and to send it to you all or to load it on our internet site. I hope, however, to send you some news of our family before the end of February.

First of all, we wish you all a very happy 2006. I know it’s late, but ...

The year 2005 has not been a good year for us. I am still fighting with my psychological problems, which do not seem to get any better. I am still feeling bad and psychotherapy is not giving any clear results.

Sofia has continuous difficulties at school, especially because of her schoolmates, who always gave her a hard time.

Marta remains a difficult child and we are not able to have a positive interaction with her: everything is always negative, for her, and all we do, is always against her! Obviously, her age has a big influence on this, since she is now 13 and ½.

Alan has good results at school but he has many problems with his school mates (many “spoiled brats” in the European School) and he is often nervous, with tics and periods in which tears come easily to his eyes.

Ester is doing all right, but she often has head aches or pain in her belly, the origin of which, we haven’t been able to find out.

Flavia seems to be in good health. We have to be careful that she, with all the problems she has to face, can keep her health and her balance.

All in all, a complicated and difficult situation.

On the positive side I have to mention that our physical health has been very good this year. Even Sofia had fewer bacterial infections to the higher respiratory tract, after the ear operation in 2004.

Another very good thing is the fact that, after many years in which Sofia could not go to the beach, we went really on vacation, this year: we went to Capraia, a small island between Italy (Toscana) and Corsica. Wonderful!

The beginning of 2006 has already brought some changes: Sofia could not stand it anymore to stay in the school here in Munich, so we moved her to a school in Ivrea, in Italy. She is staying with friends down there. It is only two weeks that she is there, but it seems that things are already going better, at least with the kids in the class. As you can understand, we’ll be more often in Italy.

Well, not to go on for too long, I’ll stop here. We hope that the year 2006 will bring better luck than the previous one. Saluti a tutti
